Solar Solve Marine exhibited at Nor-Shipping in Oslo, Norway at the beginning of June to great success. The company was showcasing their range of SOLASOLV® anti-glare, heat rejecting sunscreens for navigation bridge windows as well as their ROLASOLV® range of fabric roller and blackout blinds for accommodation area windows.
Nor-Shipping is considered by many to be one of the best maritime events in the world and despite the world recession there were 1,050 exhibiting companies from 48 countries, an increase of 17% on 2007 exhibitor figures. Total visitor numbers were up 15% to 15,999 and this showed as the Solar Solve stand was really busy throughout the four day show.
The company received lots of interest in their product range and even took details of some enquiries which they could quote on once back at the office.
“The show was extremely good for us” commented Paul Hopkins, Solar Solve’s Sales and Marketing Executive. “Not only did we get the opportunity to meet with some of our existing customers and Distributors, we also made lots of new contacts, some of which had an immediate requirement for our products.”
“We are now working on all of the follow up work from the exhibition and hope to secure some new contracts in the near future.”
Solar Solve was part of the British pavilion which was hosted by John Southerden of the British Marine Equipment Association. The pavilion had 17 British companies showcasing their product ranges.
