What window shapes can Solar Solve manufacture solar screens for?
Solar Solve manufactures custom marine solar screens in square, rectangular, left hand taper, right hand taper, equal taper, unequal taper, left hand inverted taper, right hand inverted taper, equal inverted taper, unequal inverted taper, and two trapezium configurations. All shapes are available across the full range of SOLASOLV® products.
Can Solar Solve make screens for trapezium shaped windows on ships?
Yes. Solar Solve manufactures screens for trapezium, rhomboid, and parallelogram windows. Two configuration options are available depending on the space available at the top of the window. Contact the Solar Solve team before measuring to confirm which option applies to your installation.
How do I know if my ship window is tapered?
Measure the width of the window at two points, one near the top and one near the bottom. If the two measurements differ, the window has a taper. The direction and degree of the taper determines which window shape category applies to your order.
What happens if I submit the wrong window shape?
Because all Solar Solve screens are custom made to your specifications, Solar Solve cannot be held responsible for incorrect window shape or dimension information provided at the time of ordering. If you are unsure of your window shape, contact the Solar Solve team or upload your window drawings before placing your order.
Are tapered window screens available in all film colours?
Yes. All window shapes are available in Gold, Silver, Grey, and Bronze film colours. All four colours provide the same core performance: up to 93% glare reduction, up to 87% solar heat rejection, and up to 99% UV light rejection.
Does Solar Solve accept window drawings for complex shapes?
Yes. For non-standard or complex window profiles, Solar Solve recommends uploading technical drawings via the contact form. This allows the manufacturing team to verify dimensions and confirm the correct screen profile before production begins.
Are all window shape screens Type Approved?
Solar Solve’s SOLASOLV® roller screens hold Type Approval from DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register, and RINA regardless of the window shape. Type Approval covers the product performance and construction standard, not the window shape itself.
