Solar Solve send out a questionnaire with every order. For every completed questionnaire that is returned to us, we make a donation to The Mission to Seafarers. This year, thanks to some great customer support, £100 was presented to the local mission in early December. This donation goes towards the annual Christmas lunch that is provided to seafarers from ships on the River Tyne who are away from their family and friends over the festive period, as well as local ex-seafarers who are also invited along to the celebration. The local paper printed the article alongside a huge picture of yours truly presenting the cheque to Diane Erskine, Manager of the South Shields mission.

Later that day both Adam Reilly and I made the short journey to the Tynemouth Lifeboat Station and presented a cheque for £500 to Brian McDonald, 2nd Station Mechanic. This donation was in lieu of giving gifts to customers at Christmas. This year the staff voted unanimously that we should donate our fund to Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
