UK based Solar Solve Marine has received an order from their Australian Distributor to supply 18 custom made SOLASOLV ® roller screens and 44 ROLASOLV® fabric roller blinds for Hull 075. The vessel is a 35 metre Passenger Catamaran being built by Incat in Hobart, Tasmania for MBNA Thames Clippers Line Ltd in the UK. Once delivered, the vessel will provide rapid passenger services on the River Thames on various routes. It is a DNV-GL Type Approved catamaran capable of carrying up to 150 passengers at high speeds.

Solar Solve have specialised in providing sun and glare protection to the marine and offshore industry for almost 30 years and the company is celebrating its 40 th anniversary in business this year (1975 – 2015). The SOLASOLV® brand of anti-glare screen is installed at the windows of all types of ships, rigs and cranes worldwide. Regarded as essential safety equipment, the screens effectively reject up to 87% of heat and up to 93% of glare from the sun, significantly reducing eye-strain and fatigue, and improving outward visibility. SOLASAFE® screens are guaranteed for 7 years and the only screens in the world to be Type Approved by DNV-GL, Lloyds’ and ABS.

ROLASOLV® fabric roller blinds are installed at public area windows to provide shading or blackout conditions during the day. They are Type Approved by DNV-GL and comply with the mandatory IMO FTPC Part 7 A.563(14) Resolution.

Carl Johnson, Operations Director commented, “We are very happy to secure, once again, another important order from Incat Tasmania for both of our main product lines. Receiving orders from clients on a regular basis shows that they have great faith in our service and the products we manufacture here in the UK. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Australian Distributor in Port Adelaide for their efforts in securing this valuable order from Incat.”
