Solar Solve Marine, the South Shields based manufacturer of ROLASOLV®flame retardant window shades for all types of ships window locations , has just received an order from National Gas Shipping Company in the United Arab Emirates for the vessel Umm Al Ashtan – a LNG Carrier owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
ROLASOLV® flame retardant window shades and blackout blinds are ideal for cabin windows where they can be used at any time to provide room darkened conditions. They are especially useful where crew work shifts and require sleep during the day. By providing the best possible sleeping conditions, the crew are likely to get the rest they need so they are refreshed and alert on their next working shift. ROLASOLV® flame retardant window shades are Type Approved by DNV-GL and flame retardant in accordance with the mandatory IMO FTPC Part 7 A.563(14) resolution.
Kvaerner Masa Yards in Turku, Finland began construction of Umm Al Ashtan in 1995 and delivered the vessel in 1997 at the cost of $239 million USD. Umm Al Ashtan is 290 metre long, 48 metres wide and is 73,100 DWT. Four DIMMLITE® roller blinds with blackout fabric were ordered for the ships’ conference room where meetings and presentations take place.
Paul Hopkins, Solar Solve Marine’s Sales and Marketing Executive commented, “Sales to the oil and gas sector continue to be strong for our company in 2012. National Gas Shipping Company is a long established customer and regularly orders SOLASOLV® products which shows faith in the quality of the brand and the service we provide.”
