In spite of the many global crises that have affected the world wide economy during 2022, South Shields based Solar Solve Ltd have traded very successfully throughout the first 9 months. Turnover increased by circa 15% compared with 2021, which was also a very good year.

The company’s main market sector is marine but it also supplies its very effective products to other sectors, including aviation.

Many interesting and prestigious contracts have been completed during 2022 so far, mainly involving the supply of Solar Solve’s brand-leading SOLASAFE product; a Type Approved, roller sunscreen that rejects solar glare, infra-red heat and ultra violet light. It is their most popular product by far.

Some of the aviation sector contracts that have been successfully completed this year have included supplying consignments of SOLASAFE screens to 1 airport in Greenland, 1 in the UK, an MoD UK air weapons range ATC and a UK-built mobile ATC complex with 11 windows.

A consignment of Solar Solve’s Type Approved SOLAROLA product, with similar solar rejection properties was supplied to an airport ATC in Malaysia and more potential orders for the aviation sector are in the pipeline for the final quarter of 2022.

When in use the roller sunscreens will create a safer and more comfortable working environment for the personnel who work in the air traffic control towers. Simply by lowering them, they will be protected from the solar glare, heat and uv radiation.
