Over the years, Solar Solve has supplied a lot of screens to the Aviation industry. Used in Air Traffic Control (ATC) Towers they help maintain a clear outward view when Air Traffic Controllers are working assisting aeroplanes taking off and landing.
Often electrically powered and electronically remotely controlled, the screens can be raised and lowered depending on the time of day to help assist with problems associated with the sun.
There are two types of screens used in ATC Towers. The first is a tinted see through product from the SOLASOLV anti-glare screen range and the other is a fabric roller blind from the ROLASOLV range used to stop glare and reflection from entering the control tower and reflecting on the tinted screens.
Together both products offer the best coverage scenario for the control tower providing the Air Traffic Controllers with a more comfortable working environment.
