South Shields based Marine Equipment manufacturer Solar Solve Marine has just dispatched another consignment of its brand-leading anti glare screen ships to Taiwan.

This order was from Lung-Teh Shipbuilding, a company established in 1979 that is a small but significant designer and builder of vessels up to 40 metres in length. It specialises in Fast Patrol craft, Fire Boats and various types of Ferries and has a first class reputation for quality.

Much of this builder’s success is accredited to a young and highly motivated team of 110 employees with an average age of 36 and their belief that every boat they build should be a work of art.

Currently under construction is a series of three 30-metre steel hulled Customs Patrol Boats and Solar Solve’s Operations Director Carl Johnson commented, “This trio of Patrol Boats will each have 13 SOLASAFE anti glare screen ships installed, which has resulted in another significant order for us. Made with bronze solar film they will reject 84% of the glare, 67% of the heat and 98% of the uv light that comes through the wheelhouse windows. With a 5-year guarantee they will help to protect the Customs Officers whilst they carry out their daily routine and contribute towards reducing the vessels’ carbon gas emissions.”

“Over the past few years we have created an excellent working relationship and built up a whole lot of trust with the team at Lung-Teh that now results in regular orders.”
