Balmoral FPV is a semi submersible floating platform located in the North Sea that processes oil from a number of fields including all of the output from the Brenda field. It has been in the same location since it first began operation in November 1986 and is wholly owned by Oilexco and operated by Oilexco North Sea Ltd.
Cabin windows on the rig were recently fitted with Solar Solve Marine’s Litetite blackout blinds to help personnel to sleep at any time of the day or night.
“As well as a reliable and effective product, Oilexco had to be sure they were getting roller blinds that have been certified to the exacting safety standards demanded by the offshore industry,” commented Carl Johnson.
