Monday 30th August marks the last of the summer public holidays in the UK, and whilst we know the dates of UK public holidays I don’t know if our worldwide customers know when our business is closed during the year, so this blog will let everyone know when those dates are.

After Christmas Day and Boxing Day (25th and 26th December respectively) the first public holiday in the UK is New Year’s Day on 1st January which many countries also follow.

Then we have Good Friday and Easter Monday, which fall on different dates each year, but in 2021 fell on April 2nd and April 5th. In 2022 the dates will be Friday 15th and Monday 18th April.

Next we have May bank holidays which always fall on the first and last Mondays in May.

This leads on to the August bank holiday which falls on the last Monday in August.

The next holiday is Christmas Day and Boxing Day, as above.

However, in 2022 our Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee from Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June 2022, creating an additional bank holiday next year. The milestone means Her Majesty will be the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. She acceded to the throne at the age of 25 in 1952 and so this achievement deserves an extra-long celebration.
