At Solar Solve, we take our work seriously—but when it comes to embracing the holiday spirit, we go all in. This year, Thursday 12th December was no exception, as we joined in the nationwide celebration of “Christmas Jumper Day” in support of Save the Children.
A day of tinsel, laughter, and questionable taste – The rules were simple: dig out your favourite Christmas jumper (or the only one you own—let’s be honest), wear it proudly to work, and make a donation to a fantastic cause. What resulted was a spectacle of holiday cheer that could rival the North Pole.
From glowing reindeer noses to sweaters so full of glitter they left trails behind, it was clear that some staff took “festive” very seriously. Others, we suspect, just grabbed whatever their nan knitted for them last year. One jumper even seemed to double as a portable Christmas tree, complete with baubles and flashing lights. It’s fair to say that productivity dipped slightly due to frequent impromptu fashion shows in the office.
A team effort for a worthy cause – Every staff member who participated made a donation to Save the Children, ensuring that while we laughed at each other’s wardrobe choices, we were also making a real difference. It’s not every day you can support a fantastic charity simply by wearing a jumper with a singing penguin on it, but hey, we’re not complaining!

Save the Children works tirelessly to improve the lives of children around the world, and we’re proud to contribute to their efforts.
