The Great Team at Solar Solve Marine pulled off a significant coupe in October of this year when they dispatched an order to a customer in Hungary, the 27th and final country in the current EU, with whom they have traded.

At the time of writing this blog, negotiations still continue, although it seems that a No-Deal will result.  Whatever happens, for this organisation, trading with countries within the EU under WTO rules is not expected to be any more or any less of a hassle or complication than trading with any other countries.

So far, Solar Solve has traded with 113 countries in 6 continents, 27 of which are in the EU.  That leaves 86 countries we have traded with or continue to trade with, very successfully under WTO (World Trade Organisation) rules.

We are very proud of the fact that we have no unhappy customers and there are over 240 customer commendations on the Testimonials page here on the solasolv.com website to confirm it.

If I were being cynical, I could say that if there is a trade deal agreed with the EU, then life will just jog along as it has done, quite successfully for our business, with the UK not really being Independent of the EU and always being told how we can and cannot trade with the other 168 non-EU countries in the world, by the unelected bureaucrats of the EU who influence the decisions. Is it fair and more importantly to the people who voted to leave the EU, will it make the UK totally Independent??  Obviously not, the cynics could say.

The people who want the UK to show that it can be great again, and much greater if it leaves with no-deal and is free to trade with whichever countries it wants to, under whatever best terms and agreements it can independently negotiate, are looking to the future positively and do not want the current government to miss out on what is probably a once-in-a-half-century opportunity.

My final thought is wondering if the pundit on the tv last night, who suggested the EU is worried that if the UK leaves with a no-deal and within 5 years, is well on the way to experiencing spectacular growth and wealth, other EU member nations will be queuing up to leave as well?
