One of the trading names of South Shields based Solar Solve Ltd, is Solar Solve Aviation, because the company supplies ATC towers – Air Traffic Control towers – all over the world, with its Brand Leading SOLASOLV range of roller sunscreens.

The multi-award-winning company recently dispatched a consignment of 38 of its SOLASAFE sun screens. They are to be installed at the ATC tower windows of two airports close to Havana, Cuba. JMI is located 9 miles south of the capital and one of the biggest and busiest airports in all of Cuba. PBA is a midsize airport just west of Havana.

In the past, feedback from air traffic controllers all over the world, usually comments on how effective Solar Solve’s anti-glare roller sunscreens are at reducing eyestrain due to glare and in hotter countries they are additionally appreciated as very effective barriers to the solar heat that comes through the windows. They also virtually eliminate uv light transmission.

Company MD, Julie Lightfoot MBE, who has been spearheading the growth of Solar Solve’s AVIATION division for the last decade, commented, “We have supplied SOLASOLV Type Approved Roller sunscreens and ROLASOLV Type Approved roller blinds to Air Traffic Control Towers all over the world. We have become so successful, we created a Solar Solve Aviation division with its own logo, to help with promoting the brand.”
