Today, we’re absolutely chuffed to be celebrating a truly remarkable milestone – Ian Ratcliffe’s 20-year work anniversary with Solar Solve! That’s 20 years, 240 months, or roughly 7,300 days of putting up with the rest of us!
Over the past two decades, Ian has been an invaluable member of our team, consistently demonstrating the kind of professionalism and commitment that makes the rest of us look workshy by comparison.
His dedication and expertise have played a key role in our ongoing success as we’ve continued to expand our presence in the marine industry, exporting to 112 countries worldwide – which is brilliant, because it’s meant Ian’s had to deal with customers across more time zones than most of us can count!
Ian’s journey with us has spanned an incredible chapter in Solar Solve’s history – he’s survived more office relocations than a fugitive on the run! From our early days at St Hilda Industrial Estate, through our moves to Tyne Dock, and now to our current home at Waldridge Way, Ian has stuck with us through it all. Either that, or he’s just really bad at writing resignation letters.
Twenty years of service represents more than just longevity – it speaks to a level of dedication that suggests either a deep belief in our mission of supplying world-class SOLASOLV® anti-glare roller screens and ROLASOLV® blackout blinds, or an impressive reluctance to update his CV.
We’re choosing to believe it’s the former, obviously!
Let’s face it – Ian’s work ethic makes the rest of us look like we’re on an extended tea break.
As we look to the future under our new ownership with Rivertrace Limited, we’re thrilled that Ian continues to be part of the Solar Solve family. After 20 years, he’s practically part of the furniture – and considerably more useful than the office plants!
